Dr. Duncan
Dr. Duncan grew up on the coast of tropical south Texas. He attended Baylor University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He then went on to attend dental school at Columbia University where he received his dental degree.
Following this, he completed a 1-year general practice residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital where he focused on the care of medically compromised patients and those with special needs. During this time, he developed an interest in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and decided to further his knowledge and training by completing a 6-year residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During his residency, he received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a 1-year general surgery internship.
Dr. Duncan enjoys helping his patients at Coastal Virginia Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He prioritizes the comfort and safety of his patients by collaboration with his colleagues and his surgical team to provide the best clinical outcome and experiences for his patients. His interests include the application of new technologies to the planning and execution of dentoalveolar, dental implant, orthognathic jaw surgery, and trauma.
In his free time, Dr. Duncan likes staying active and spending time with his wife, Adeline. He enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time at the beach or on the water.
